After a determination of appropriateness for treatment, we will prepare your personal records. You must provide verification of your identity with two forms of ID. The screening/intake process will include:
1. Information about your drug abuse and psycho-social history
2. Infectious disease education
3. Nursing procedures
Our nursing staff will draw a sample of your blood and will request a urine specimen for routine examination. This includes screening for proper liver and kidney functioning, anemia, cholesterol, signs of infection, diabetes and, if indicated, possible pregnancy. There is also a mandatory screening for syphilis and a skin test for tuberculosis.
You must complete a physical examination the day of admittance.
You are required to attend the Orientation Group within the first two weeks. At this meeting you will learn more about our program and the various services we offer.
